Sculpted from a young male buffalo in a boma temporarily in Lapalala Game Reserve. Whilst sculpting from outside the boma, I was closely investigated by a rhino family with a calf who were feeding off the buffalo's old lucerne.
While I was sculpting this buffalo a rhino family came so close that I scaled the fence and sat on top of it with the three rhino one side and buffalo on the other. They were luckily frightened off by my shouting a few things at them otherwise I fear the sculpture would have been flattened! Read more....
